About Heather
Heather teaches second & third grade students who are learning English as a second language. She is currently completing her Master's degree in Marriage and Family Counseling at California State University, Fullerton and volunteers as a counseling trainee with Straight Talk La Mirada Community Center. She enjoys working with individuals of all ages in facilitating their growth and development across many areas. Heather enjoys exploring and learning about new cultures, religions, and ways of being in the world~ she finds teaching and learning reciprocal and beneficial to all involved.
About Jeff
A native of Taiwan, Jeff has experience in East Asia, including mainland China, Taiwan and Nepal. A graduate of Pepperdine University, he holds a Masters in Education Technology and a Bachelor's degree from UMass, Amherst. Jeff has taught elementary school for 11 years in Buena Park, CA (USA) and is the coordinator for the Gifted and Talented Education (GATE) program, an online program consisting of 300 elementary school students from six different schools. Jeff is currently finishing his doctoral studies at Pepperdine University and enjoys traveling and spending time with his family and friends.
